The Mother’s Day Gift Edit

The Mother’s Day Gift Edit

Mother’s Day can feel oddly pressured, you can always opt for flowers, chocolates or champagne but if you wanted to switch it up this year we've created a guide to help you. Without overcomplicating it, here are a few ideas that genuinely feel considered, whether you’re leaning towards an experience, something beautiful, or something she’ll actually use long after the day has passed.

Facial

A facial is always a good place to start. The Wellness Clinic at Harrods does beautiful, results-driven treatments that feel indulgent but still practical, the kind of appointment she’ll walk out of genuinely glowing. If she prefers something more sculpting and high-energy, the Signature Sculpt at FaceGym is a great option. It’s less 'lie down and relax' and more 'walk out lifted and fresh' which some mums actually prefer.

Beauty Lover

For something smaller but still special, Guerlain’s Rouge G lipstick, especially in the limited bloom cases, feels like a lovely choice. The packaging is beautiful without being flashy, and because the cases are refillable, it’s something she’ll keep. It’s the kind of gift that elevates the everyday rather than sitting untouched on a shelf.

Hair Care

If you’re leaning towards something practical but still thoughtful, haircare is surprisingly personal in the best way. A really good Vitamin Infused Hair Oil and Silk Scrunchies feel understated, but they’re the sort of things that turn into a ritual. It’s simple, but it shows you’ve thought about what she’d actually enjoy using.

Fashion

Clothing can feel risky, but cashmere rarely is. Marks & Spencer do beautiful, classic jumpers or cardigans that feel indulgent without being intimidating. It’s something she’ll wear constantly.

Good Food

And if you’d rather book something than wrap it, you can’t really go wrong with food done properly. A Sunday roast at The Fat Badger or afternoon tea at Fortnum & Mason if she leans for more traditional.

Whatever you choose, the point isn’t to overdo it, it’s to pick something that feels considered. An appointment she wouldn’t book herself, a piece she’ll actually wear, or something that quietly elevates her everyday.

Happy Mother's Day!
